How does this work?
Click the big purple button! Every minutes, this website will get a quantum-random number from lfdr.de/QRNG and use that to play a random sound.
Why?
Since the randomness comes from a quantum generator, the timeline will be split and you will experience a different sound being played in different worlds. The sounds will influence you in a different way in every world and cause you to perform slightly different actions. Doing this repeatedly means that from a god's perspective you would differ much more than other people between different quantum worlds. Why do it? Because it's funny!
Here's an image to help you wrap your head around it:
Pro Tips:
- Click the big purple button!
- If you want to get a new quantum random sound without having to wait, just double-click the big purple button
- Try to do actually different things depending on what sound you hear, or else the effect would be small
- If you want an actually good explanation, go read the essay Living in Many Worlds by Eliezer Yudkowsky
- No you can't actually tell it's working. But it is.
- If someone helpfully volunteers that quantum collapse is the consensus interpretation of quantum mechanics, send them this essay (tl;dr - many-worlds interpretation is correct and everyone else is wrong)
